This city lies at the distance of 19 Km on the northern side of Tamaqua; and 40 Km on the southern side of Wilkes-Barre. Standing on ‘Spring Mountain’ plateau, elevation of Hazleton is around 518 meters above the sea level. This place goes on to straddle the division between Susquehanna and Delaware watersheds.
According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of Hazleton was 23329.
