The borough of Mechanicsburg is located in the Pennsylvania state of United States. This historic town has enormous number of interesting things for the tourists.
There are a couple of interesting places near the city. The Lost Caverns are natural limestone caverns, located in the nearby town of Harrisburg. These were unintentionally discovered in the year 1883.
These limestone caverns posses clear water sources, whose origin is not known. There are five chambers, which consist of several crystal formations and fluorescent minerals.
Millersburg city is famous for the Millersburg Ferry. This historical ferry connects Millersburg town with Perry County.
The Fort Hunter Mansion and Park is located in Harrisburg city. Visitors can view the breathtaking scenes of the Blue Mountains and the Susquehanna River. The mansion is built in a French style fort which is open to guided tours.
Mechanicsburg Museum Association holds the historic details about the city.
