Summers are warm with an average temperature of 23°C. In winter, the climate is cold with temperatures falling below freezing point. Early spring and autumn are accompanied with mild temperatures and are the best times to visit New Hope.
Originally an industrial town founded in 1681, New Hope has grown into cultural centre with emphasis on theatre, arts and the antiques trade. It has a population of around 4,000.
Tourism is the primary industry of New Hope. A ferry ride on the Delaware River not only gives its visitors a glimpse of its ecosystem, but is also a very romantic experience. It is no wonder then that New Hope is slowly becoming a preferred tourist destination.
