A classic marble façade and a Neo-classical style on the exterior of the First Bank of the United States built during the 18th century stands strong and sets the tone for the portrait gallery inside that features art work depicting the signers of the Declaration of Independence and other significant portraits representing early United States history.  Crowning the exterior of the bank is an elaborate carving of America’s new symbol at the time, an eagle grasping a shield of thirteen stars and stripes.  Exhibits of early American currency are also on display inside.
