It is commonly known as the University Museum and is also a part of the University of Pennsylvania in University City. It has conducted more than 400 archaeological and anthropological researches around the world. It was founded during the administration of Provost William Pepper. Charles Klauder designed the Coxe Memorial Wing, which was inaugurated in the year 1926. The museum exhibits many old monuments of the Philadelphia history. It has worked greatly in bringing the human civilization history into light.
