Penn's Landing along the Delaware River is an historic waterfront recreational area for outdoor concert enthusiasts during the summer months. An impressive statue marks the significance and replica of William Penn, the founder of the state of Pennsylvania who docked near the spot in the late 1600s. Moshulu, a 4-diamond awarded floating restaurant ship, named after the ship, is docked in the port at Penn’s Landing. With a history of traveling the seas around Europe, South America, Australia, and Africa, it’s a “must-see”. They offer prime aged steaks and farm-fresh vegetables, including corn off the cob with applewood smoked bacon, Lancaster cream, tomatoes and chive; roasted wild mushrooms sautéed with onions and tomato confetti; and Yukon gold potato puree with fresh snipped chives. A world war II-era submarine and a Spanish-American War-era cuiser are also moored nearby at the Independence Seaport Museum.
