The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts is a charitable nonprofit organization. It owns, manages, supports and maintains the center for the performing arts and includes the Merck Arts Education Center, Innovation Studio, Perelman Theater and the Verizon Hall. This center also manages the academy of music. The mission of this center is to include arts in education, to outreach the community and to provide enriched diversity of programs.
