Tourist Guide Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, the Steel City of USA, is located in the south-west region of Pennsylvania. It lies at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and is formed at the confluence of the Monongahela, Allegheny and Ohio Rivers. These three rivers give the city a beautiful triangular design called ‘The Golden Triangle’. The Pittsburgh International Airport serves the city.

The presence of lakes and the mountains gives Pittsburgh an average climate with plenty of precipitation. The highest temperature (in the summer month of July) is around 28°C, and the lowest temperature drops to less than –5°C.

The population of this ethically-diverse city is more than 350,000 people. It is the largest inland port in the US, and has a history of being a chief manufacturer of iron and steel, thus giving it the name of steel city.
