Lackawanna Historical Society had been founded in the year 1886 with the objective of preserving history of county of Lackawanna for advantage of future generations. It’s amongst the most ancient cultural institutions all over the county. This museum houses archives, artifacts, and various bibliographic materials pertaining to economic, social, and cultural history of Northeastern Pennsylvania and Lackawanna County.
