Strasburg is situated in Lancaster County in Pennsylvania, USA. Nestled between beautiful farmlands, it covers an area of 2.6 sq km and has a population of around 4,000.

Strasburg has a humid continental climate. Summers are warm with an average temperature of 27°C. Winters are moderately cold with an average temperature of 4°C. This pleasant climate facilitates the growth of lush green vegetation.

Strasburg is a ‘Mecca’ for rail enthusiasts. Often referred to as ‘Train Town USA’ because of its many rail attractions, it houses the Strasburg Rail Road which is a beloved tourist attraction and a cultural icon of Strasburg.

The town was founded in 1693 by a French trader, Pierre Bezaillion. Lined with quaint shops and homes, the town has a historic ambience. Its predominant Amish culture is evident everywhere. Agriculture is the predominant industry, but tourism is also a significant contributor to the town’s economy.
