It is a arena constructed for various purpose, it has a seating capacity of about 8,300. This arena is the home for many teams like the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins ice hockey team, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers. It was built in the year 1998; this arena was previously named as Northeastern Pennsylvania Civic Arena and Convention Center. This arena at Casey plaza is recognized by numerous magazines as one among the best in US for arenas under 10,000 seat capacities.
