Win River Casino is the most popular casino in Redding. The casino has over 75,000 square feet of gaming area, 751 slot machines and a variety of card tables.

The popular museums are Fort Crook Museum, Redding Museum of Art and History and Turtle Bay Museum. There is a very popular science museum in the city which is called Carter House Natural Science Museum.

148 miles towards the west is a city called Eureka and 162 miles towards the South is a city called Sacramento. Redding hosts several events throughout the year.

However, it has been hosting certain events annually such as Kool April Nites Car Show, Redding Rodeo and Rodeo Week Festivities, Downtown Redding Market Fest, Freedom Festival, Blues by the River Festival, Redding Beer and Wine Festival and WinterFest Open House and Tree Lighting.
