An eighteen hole Golf Course, with a driving range snacks bar, locker room and dining establishment is a wonderful place to play golf. One such place in Cranston is Cranston Country Club.
There are two nice historical monuments that are worth a visit, they being, Governor Sprague Mansion and Joy Homestead. Places that are close to Cranston are Warwick, Barrington, Province, Pawtucket and West Province.
In the First week of December the Mayor of Cranston officially invites all its residents to announce the commencement of holidays, the event starts with lightning the Christmas tree, followed by carol singing and then free ice staking and other things. This event is called Tree Lightning Ceremony.
Rhode Island is know to be home to a very popular and much awaited festival called Rhode Island International Film Festival its venue keeps rotating anywhere in the province of Rhode Island. This event lasts for 6 days and starts only on Tuesdays.
