Harmony, situated on U.S Route 44, is a small township of Gloucester, Rhode Island, United Sates. At the centre of the town tourists can see the historic 1816 Cemetery and Harmony Chapel. The chapel was initially constructed as a schoolhouse and later on it became the meetinghouse of the villagers. The cemetery at the backside of the chapel was used by Smith, Steere and other families of the locality as their private cemetery till it was opened to the public for use in 1878. There are several golf courses, the Harmony Library and several restaurants near the township. The elevation of the Harmony village is about 423 feet. Sen. Arthur Steere, Henry J. Steere, Fredrick Lewis, Dr. Patience Steere, Hannah Steere, Seth Hunt Steere, Richard Aldrich etc are the major individuals buried in this cemetery. East Side pocket, Portofino, Mr Taco’s Que Pasa etc are the top restaurants of this village. Island Free Library, Ashaway Free Library, Rogers Free Library, Gloucester-Manton Free Public Library are some of the major libraries of Rhode Island.
