Pawtucket is a city located in the Providence County of Rhode Island, in the United States. As per the report presented by the 2000 year census, the population of the city was around 72,958. Pawtucket is the fourth biggest city of the Rhode Island. The Industrial revolution of America started from Pawtucket. According to the census bureau of the United States, Pawtucket’s total area is 9 square miles, out of which 8.7 square miles is land and around 0.3 square miles of the city is covered by water. St. Raphael Academy is located in the mountainous section of the city. It is the Pawtucket School department that directs and controls the public education at Pawtucket. Central Falls/Pawtucket train station constructed in 1959 is the railroad station of Pawtucket. The highway interstate 95 as well as U.S 1 state highway runs through the western region of Pawtucket. Slater Mill, constructed in 1793 along the Blackstone River falls of Pawtucket was the initial cotton-spinning mill having a motorized power system in America.
