Westerly is a town which lies on the south shore of Washington County in Rhode Islands.
This beachfront locality is a huge tourist attraction especially in the summer months for its large number of beaches which include the Westerly town beach, Watch hill beach, Misquamicut beach, Weekapaug beach, East beach, and more.
These are ideal for indulging in water sport activities like kayaking, swimming and surfing.
The Wilcox Park is a park cum arboretum which has no entrance fee and the park has been included in the National Register of Historic Places since 1973.
There are several monuments and memorials in the park, the most popular one being the Wilcox Memorial Fountain which was designed by the popular architect John Francis Paramino.
Watch Hill is a lighthouse in Westerly which is situated at the end of the peninsula and the area has a seasonal resort, yacht club, golf and beach facilities and a shopping region in its vicinity.
