The City Hall in Woonsocket was commissioned by the leading manufacturer in the town, Edward Harris. This structure has a core block that has been constructed in 1856 and some additions were made in 1891. There has been a remodeling of the interior many times over the years. Harris donated this structure to a group of trustees, who in 1902 sold it to the City of Woonsocket.
