Sarasota is a popular holiday city located on the west coast of the beach state of Florida, USA and in the county of Sarasota. The Money Magazine ranked Sarasota as one of America’s 15 most-liveable communities to stay in. It has many barrier islands, which are called keys and face the Gulf of Mexico. The city officially comes within the limits of Sarasota Bay.
The city’s warm, sunny climate is perfect for all-year round tourist visits. The average temperature is around 21°C, and in the peak of summer (July–August) it can go higher than 32°C. Winter months see low temperatures of around 5°C–8°C.
Sarasota has more than 50,000 inhabitants within its limits, as per the most recent census. The Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport serves the city as well as the neighbouring county of Manatee.
