Tybee Island, formerly known as ‘Savannah Beach’, is the most popular spot on Savannah’s coastline. Characterized with beautiful sandy beaches, this beachfront community offers spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Art lovers will enjoy the Telfair Museum of Art, which is the oldest art museum in the region. The nineteenth-century Owens-Thomas House is also worth a visit. Another house worth visiting is Juliette Gordon Low’s Birthplace.
Other museums of interest include Savannah History Museum, Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum and Mercer Williams House Museum, among others.
