Secaucus is a shopper’s delight because it is the hub of outlet shopping in the region. If you’re lucky, you can even find a warehouse sale happening at one of the many stores. A good start to your shopping spree can be at the downtown Secaucus Plaza.
Head east to the Harmon Meadow where you can watch a movie, eat at one of the many restaurants and also catch what’s happening at the lively Meadowlands Exposition Centre.
The town also offers you the best of New Jersey’s natural assets. Spot over 250 species of birds at the Meadowlands, try canoeing and kayaking through the meadows from April–October, or get away from the bustling town centre by relaxing at the 2-km-long Mill Creek Marsh and the Snipes Beach Park.
Just a kilometre from the Hackensack River is the 700-acre state’s sport and entertainment complex which comfortably accommodates clubs, concerts, a race track and even a weekly flea market.
