Tourist Guide Aiken
Aiken is a part of the Central Savannah River Area in USA and is located in Aiken County in the state of South Carolina. This city is home to nearly 25,000 people and has an area of around 42 sq km. The area was initially inhabited by the people of the Cofachiqui tribe. Hernando DeSoto was the first European to land here. Permanent settlement by the Europeans began by the end of the seventeenth century with the coming of the British.
Aiken is an excellent tourist spot as it has a perfect blend of scenic beauty, recreational facilities, sports and cultural events, hospitality and so forth. The city is blessed with a fabulous climate.
The maximum average annual temperature is around 25°C, while the minimum average annual temperature is nearly 5°C. Its economy is based primarily on manufacturing, retail and wholesale trade, tourism and services.
