The Virginia Tech’s War Memorial is situated at one end of the Drill field in the middle of the Virginia Tech Campus. It has eight pillars containing the names of Virginia Tech alumni and the students who died in the various wars of the United States. Recently, few names of persons, who died in Afghanistan and Iraq, have also been added. Underneath the War Memorial, a small chapel is situated, which is regularly used by the Virginia Tech students for religious services.
