The Charlotte Knights are a minor league baseball team of Charlotte in North Carolina. This team is a Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox of the American League and plays in the International League. They play in the Knights Stadium situated in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The professional baseball in Charlotte dates back to 1901, when the Charlotte Hornets was formed. The present incarnation of Charlotte baseball began in 1976. In 1993, the Charlotte claimed the International League’s Governors’ Cup Championship.
