Lake Greenwood is formed due to a hydroelectric dam which is across the Saluda River. This lake has 212 miles of shoreline and is around 11,400 acres. There is a river named, Reedy River, which joins the Saluda at Lake Greenwood. Further, this lake is used exclusively for fishing and boating. Moreover, this lake was created between 1935 and 1940. This reservoir surface elevation is 439 feet. Further, there is a park too which occupies a series of peninsulas on Lake Greenwood.
