The North Charleston and American LaFrance Fire museum has displays which date back from the 1800 until the present period. This is a fire museum which houses various firefighting equipment which belonged to the LLC, American LaFrance.
This includes a collection of eighteen fire trucks, exhibits of the Great Escape and a film explaining the history of fire fighting. The Savannah River Site is a science technology attraction which was built in 1950 near Jackson.
This museum displays the primary basic material used in the production of nuclear weapons, namely plutonium-239 and tritium. Summerville is a small town which lies near North Charleston and includes tourist attractions like
Old Dorchester State Park which is a colonial village founded in 1697. This place has a number of things to visit such as the archaeological excavations of the village, the 1757 tabby fort and the tower of St. George’s Parish Church and a kiosk which give information about the history of the place.
