The neighborhood, Cherry Grove Beach (CGB) is known as Cherry Grove. This is a suburb neighborhood situated in the city of North Myrtle Beach in Horry County. It lies along the SC 9 and SC 65 major highways. Moreover, there is a pier, famous landmark of Cherry Grove. This pier was built in early 1950s. Also, the place is prone to hurricanes, and was remodeled and lengthened in 1999 after the Hurricane Floyd. In the year 1968, Cherry Grove Beach merged with Ocean Drive Beach, Crescent Beach and Windy Hill Beach to form the North Myrtle Beach city. This neighborhood, CGB, is situated on the upper east side of the city.
