Santee National Wildlife Refuge is a huge government owned outdoor park with a number of aquariums and zoos. This wildlife refuge spreads over fifteen thousand acres of land and was built in the year 1942.
The refuge is a natural habitat to migratory waterfowl and provides protection to endangered species such as the American alligator and the bald eagle. The park also has a number of shrubs and trees along with ponds, croplands, hiking trails and a visitor’s center on its campus.
Fisheagle Tours is a touring company in Santee which provides boat tours of the Marion Lake as well as eco heritage boat tours on the Cooper River, which is a major attraction with tourists.
Santee Presbyterian Church is a place of worship which has a children’s church on Sundays.
