Morgan Square is a great place to visit as it has a statue of Daniel Morgan who was the general of the American forces in the Battle of Cowpens.
There are free outdoor concerts held here in the summer season and the downtown area is also worth visiting with a number of bars, cafes and various nightlife options.
Hampton Heights is one of the residential areas in Spartanburg where you can see houses built in the typical nineteenth century style with architectural shades of the Victorian and Queen Anne era as well as some modern contemporary styles as well.
Certain areas of the city have beautiful lush green surroundings such as the Brentwood Hills, Hampton Heights and Greenpond which are ideal for strolling.
The Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium provides information on upcoming events and one can avail of live entertainment here such as concerts and Broadway shows.
