The city of Beresford is located in Union and Lincoln counties in South Dakota, United States. A two-third portion of the southern region forms a part of the Sioux City. One-third portion of the northern region forms a part of the Sioux Falls MSA. The city is located at the border between Union and Lincoln Counties. Two-third area of Beresford is located in the Union County. The city was incorporated on July 12th, 1884. Before its internalization, Beresford was known as Paris. The city was named after Lord ‘Charles Beresford’. The total area of Beresford is around 4.6 Km2. The population was 2198, according to the census of 2007. The region is dominated by Whites. White Non-Hispanic people range around 98.6%25 of the total population. 0.6%25 are American Indians. In 2008, the cost of living index in Beresford was 77.7.
