A major amusement of this place is the Flintstones Bedrock City. It has the Flint mobile and Iron Horse train and has a great variety of foods to relish on. It also has a full service campground.  There are two nice museums here, they being 1881 Courthouse Museum and National Museum of Woodcarving.

The 1881 Courthouse Museums has old Guns, Military articles, vehicles and periodic clothing. Hill City, Keystone, Hotsprings, Rapid City and Sturgis are places that are close to Custer.

Hill City is 12 miles towards North, Keystone is 13 miles towards North east, Hot Springs is 24 miles towards South, Rapid City is 29 miles towards North east and Sturgis is 45 miles towards North.

A three day festival that is enjoyed by all aged people is the Buffalo Round up and Arts Festival. During this festival one can get some of the finest artwork of South Dakota.
