The Pyle House Museum was the house of Gladys Pyle, who was the first elected woman US Senator and South Dakota Secretary of the State. This house is a perfect illustration of Queen Anne architecture and was built in 1894. The house has original oak woodwork, fixtures and is leaded with stained glass windows. This family home is at present on the National Register of Historic Places and is converted into a museum. The carpets, windows, wallpapers and such interior furniture’s are its display focus.
