Tourist Guide Kadoka
Kadoka is the seat of Jackson County in South Dakota, USA. Located in the Badland region of the state, the city is spread over an area of 6 sq km and has a population of around 1,000.
Summers are hot and dry and are generally accompanied by thunderstorms. The average summer temperature is around 28°C. Winters are very cold with an average temperature of 1°C. Extremely high winds and sudden dramatic changes in the weather are common throughout the year.
Known as ‘the gateway to the Badlands’, Kadoka is the perfect stop to rest before visiting the Badlands National Park. Jagged spires and deep gorges of the Badlands surround the town facilitating adventure sports.
The Depot Museum houses the building that used to be a train station. The Badlands Petrified Gardens is another local attraction that draws a number of visitors.
