A wind advisory is a warning which must be adhered to while driving vehicles or motorcycles as winds of high magnitude can cause damage to property as well as be the reason for road accidents.
A red flag warning is another thing to beware of as it is a warning of critical fire weather conditions which may be likely to occur due to a combination of strong winds, low humidity and warm temperatures.
Do not try to walk in a blizzard or open country during bad weather conditions as there is a possibility of getting lost in a blizzard. Traffic accidents on icy roads are common so avoid driving during winter storms.
People with heart problems must avoid venturing in the cold at such times as it can be risky to life. Beware of frostbites in the winter and wear warm clothes that cover all the parts of the body.
