Wounded Knee Memorial Museum gives information about the history of the period of the Wounded Knee Massacre which took place in the city of Wall in 1890.
The story is about a small group of Lakota families who became victims of the last military operation of the US army while trying to suppress the Native American tribes.
There are 8 exhibitions namely smothering the seven fires, Wovoka's Ghost Dance, Words that killed, Big foot's trail, Wounded Knee encampment, one of god's glorified peaceful mornings, child of the massacre and survivor quotations.
Wall Drug is a major tourist attraction here and includes a range of shops from antique souvenir shops, restaurants, book store, and jewelry store to several eating joints.
There is a bakery here that makes fresh donuts and other bakery products. There is a coffee shop, candy store and all kinds of snacks available here.
