Tourist Guide Wind Cave National Park
This national park is located close to the small town of Hot Springs in western region of South Dakota.
Wind Cave National Park has been named after the unique occurrence of air that is either blown out of or sucked into a natural hole which is present on the ground, dependening on the conditions of the atmosphere - The phenomenon of how air is interchanged between the atmosphere and cave system.
The park has huge population of Bison and also there are many prairie dog towns encompassed in the park borders.
The temperatures within the cave remain around 53° F (12° C) throughout the year and in the portion above the ground, climate and temperatures are same as that of a typical semi- arid region - Cold during winters with occasional waves of warm weather and hot during summers.
