The city of Franklin is situated in Williamson County in Tennessee, USA. Located in the Cumberland Valley, it covers an area of 77 sq km.

The city has a humid subtropical climate. Summers are hot with an average temperature of 32°C. In winter, it gets very cold with an average temperature of 5°C. At night, the temperature falls to –2°C. Spring and fall are generally accompanied by thunderstorms. 

Founded in 1799, Franklin has grown from a small agricultural community to a bustling commercial centre with a population of 55,000. The city’s history is visible in the Civil War battlefield, its antebellum homes and quaint shops.

Franklin has a beautiful landscape with rolling hills and lush greenery that facilitates outdoor activities and peaceful strolls. The Main Street Festival and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival are the two major events in Franklin that attract a large number of visitors.
