Tourist Guide Gatlinburg

Gatlinburg is situated on the periphery of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park along U.S. Highway 441. The city is located in Sevier County, Tennessee, US. To its east is Grapeyard Ridge, to the northeast is Big Ridge, to the west is Cove Mountain and to the south are the Le Conte and Sugarland Mountain massifs. The gross area of the city is 10.1 square miles and this area is entirely land and none is covered by water.

The population of the city was 3,828 as per the 2000 U.S. census. Out of these Whites formed 95.71 percent, African American formed 0.15 percent, Native American formed 0.56 percent, Asians formed 1.71 percent, Pacific  Islanders formed 0.03 percent and remaining from other races.

June and July were the hottest months with record high temperatures of about 105 degrees Fahrenheit. The coolest month was January with record low temperatures of -18 degrees Fahrenheit. Snowfall occurs from December to March.
