Tourist Guide Kingsport

The city of Kingsport is nestled between the Appalachians and the Great Smoky Mountains. Primarily situated in Sullivan County and partly in Hawkins County in Tennessee, USA, the city covers a total area of 116.6 sq km and has a population of around 45,000.

Kingsport has a temperate climate. Summers are warm and humid with an average temperature of 28°C. In winter, the climate is moderately cold with an average temperature of 6°C. Thunderstorms occur frequently in summer and spring.

Incorporated in 1917, the city has grown into a favourite tourist destination due to its climate and gorgeous landscape along the banks of the Holston River.

Surrounded with breathtaking natural beauty, the city provides many opportunities for outdoor recreational activities. The Warriors Path State Park is a one-stop shop for golf, hiking, swimming and fishing.
