Memphis International Airport can be described as one of the joint ‘civil-military public airports’ situated at the distance of 5 Km on the southern side of Memphis. It has been owned as well as operated by ‘Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority’. Memphis International Airport houses FedEx Express’s ‘SuperHub’. Owing to this, Memphis is said to have the biggest cargo operations by volume of any airport worldwide since the year 1993. Northwest Airlines goes on to operate its 3rd-biggest passenger-hub within Memphis.
