The light that shines in beams through the stained glass windows of the Grace-St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Memphis, Tennessee warms the hearts of all who enter the towering wooden doors. Located at 1720 Peabody Avenue, this parish was the product of two 19th century churches merging into one unified congregation that is now a flourishing Episcopal community in the heart of Memphis. The first joint Eucharist was celebrated on Thanksgiving Day in 1940.

Grace-St. Luke’s is renowned for its seven breathtaking Tiffany Glass Company stained glass windows. One incredible image depicts Christ’s ascension in a palette of watery blues. Dating back to 1889, the Tiffany window collection is the largest amongst churches in the South, and adds artistry to the religious wonder of Grace-St. Luke’s. The church offers free tours of their window collection for visitors seeking to learn more information about the incredible works of art. For information about the church, call 901-272-7425.
