The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and you can experience the stomping grounds of this rock legend at his home, Graceland. Located at 3764 Elvis Presley Boulevard, Graceland is an extravagant mansion and 13.8-acre estate that was converted into a museum to honor the late, great legend. Elvis purchased the house after he achieved his fame and success as home for his whole family.
Graceland’s grounds include dazzling Elvis artifacts, such as famous Elvis jumpsuits, awards, gold records, the Lisa Marie jetliner and Elvis’ extensive car collection. Tours through this incredible rock ‘n’ roll history are available, transporting visitors back to a time of gyrating hips and shrieking and fainting teenage girls. The grandiosity of prismatic mirrors, vivid colors, stained glass and a grand staircase greets you upon entrance into the home.
After you make your way through the house, you can head outside toward the Trophy Room, which is chronicles Elvis’s many achievements and milestones through wallfulls of memorabilia. Famous items such as records, movie posters, Grammys, Priscilla’s wedding dress, Elvis’ wedding tuxedo, Lisa Marie’s baby clothes and an entire hall of Elvis’s gold records and awards.
