St. Peter Catholic Church represents over two centuries over Roman Catholic history in the Memphis, Tennessee region. Located at 190 Adams Avenue, this cathedral is one of the oldest surviving structures in Memphis. Characterized by vaulted ceilings, Gothic qualities and hollowed arches, St. Peter Church is an architectural and aesthetic work of art. Its beauty is further magnified by the many stained glass fixtures that reflect prismatic rays of light into the church’s aisles and alter.

The church pays tribute to the Dominicans who aided the victims of the epidemics in Memphis during the mid-late 1800s, feeling that it owes its legacy to their sacrifice. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, St. Peter Catholic Church is now a thriving congregation in the Memphis area of over 650 families, and welcomes people of all faiths inside its humble doors.
