Dollywood is a theme park and the most visited tourist spot of the city. It is owned by country music singer Dolly Parton and hence has the name ‘Dollywood’. The park’s main attraction is a full-sized steam train. It also features all the standard amusement park rides as well as traditional music and crafts from the Smoky Mountains area.
The park hosts several music events and concerts each year. The Hall of Fame and Southern Gospel Museum is situated within the park. Many of the park’s visitors also make a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which is situated in close proximity from the park. The Comedy Barn Theater showcases daily events of comedy shows and variety displays.
Terry Evanswood’s Theater displays magic shows and seasonal events like Winterfest. The Miracle Theater has a musical recreation of life of Christ and features live animals. Dixie Stampede is a dinner theater which has its presence in three separate locations of Southern Locations.
