The Lost Sea has been recorded by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest underground lake of the United States. This is a section of a historic and wide cave system named as Craighead Caverns. This remarkable body of water is deep inside a mountain close to Sweet water in East Tennessee. In a room known as the “Council Room” several Indian artifacts like jewelry, weapons, arrowheads and pottery have been found.
