Arlington has a pleasant climate with hot and sunny summers and mild winters. The average temperature in summer is 34°C, while in winter the average temperature is 14°C. The climate in spring and fall is warm and comfortable.
Founded in 1876 and incorporated in 1884, the city grew as a farming centre due to its rich, fertile soil. After its industrialization, Arlington became one of the fastest growing communities in the country.
Known as ‘Fun Central’, the city boasts of wide variety of attractions, like Six Flags over Texas and Hurricane Harbor amusement parks, and Ameriquest Field. The city is a sports hub; it is home to the Texas Rangers and also boasts of a beautiful golf course, Tierra Verde.
