Mount Bonnell Park was opened in mid 1850s and is also known as Covert Park. It is a popular picnicking and tourist spot which provides a perfect view of the city of Austin, lake Austin and the surrounding hills.
There are numerous hiking trails and observation points which provides a sense of relief and relaxation. The park also has picnic tables and a pavilion. The pavilion is at the top of the mountain providing beautiful views.
