The Zilker Botanical Gardens cover 31 acres of land and is located on the south of Colorado River. It has been called as “the jewel in the heart of Austin”. This Garden is a botanical garden with varied topography and was established in 1955.
The main features of the garden includes an independently maintained Taniguchi Japanese Garden, Rose Garden, Cactus Garden, butterfly trail garden, floral display garden and herb garden. This is a place for a variety of recreational and special events for an individual or family.
