Austin: Streets, Squares and Neighbourhoods

6th Street is a historic street and an entertainment district in Austin. It is the center of the live music scene in Austin. Formerly known as the Pecan Street, the street is named with different names; like East West Street are named after the trees and the North South streets are named after the Texas Rivers. There are many bars, shops and clubs on 6th street to the east.
