The Historic Brownsville Museum is situated in Old Southern Pacific Depot building which was constructed in the year 1928. The museum opened in 1986 and has a variety of exhibits which interpret events from the past history of Brownsville. Some of the exhibits include data from the earliest military fort in the area and also the arrival of the French nun teachers to displays of agricultural and ranch tools.
