Tourist Guide Corpus Christi:

Located on the Gulf of Mexico, the coastal city of Corpus Christi is situated in Texas, USA. The city, sheltered by beautiful barrier islands, covers an area of 1,192 sq km and has a population of around 275,000.

The city has a subtropical climate. In summer, the average temperature is 32°C, while in winter the average temperature is 10°C. Due to its location in the semiarid region, Corpus Christi receives little rain.

Corpus Christi began as a frontier trading post founded in 1838. It is the largest city on the Texas Coast, with petrochemical and tourism as the major industries.

The city is blessed with a beautiful coastline, perfect for sunbathing and bird-watching. The marina and downtown area are lined with cultural and historical sites. The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History chronicles Spanish-American history. The USS Lexington aircraft carrier, a floating museum, is also a big crowd puller.
